Two years ago, I weighed about 165 pounds. I was eating fast food about 5 times a week and sitting around on my butt—oh and partying too much. It was actually a daily outdoor biking routine (in and around the Valley, where I had 2 popped tires due to broken glass, a Big Gulp thrown at my head from an impatient driver, and a broken chain that a homeless man helped me fix) that helped me drop about 23 pounds.
Now, working at Mad Dogg, I incorporate cycling into my workout routine twice a week to keep at a consistent weight and keep a healthy lifestyle—that's why I love taking classes here at SPIN Fitness HQ and why I'm participating in the weight loss program. My other exercise includes yoga, strength conditioning and I try to throw a run in there as well. Even though exercise is a huge part of my life, I try not to get too extreme about it, so I still keep my second favorite hobby: eating!! I love to eat and try new restaurants, and my favorite type of food is BBQ/soul/Southern food. Once you've lost your initial excess weight, I think you can continue eating the foods you love, in moderation. Last but not least, you'll always find me at a sports bar cheerin' on my Trojans! Fight on!
